Multilingual Counselling Service

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Multilingual Counselling Service?

Our unique service provides free mother tongue counselling in over 23 languages and dialects to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Many of our referrals are survivors of exile, torture, human trafficking and modern slavery, who cannot access financial support in the UK. WCC’s Multilingual Counselling Service supports those fleeing personal, political and economic turmoil, who are often carrying trauma and distress from migration and persecution.

WCC can also signpost or refer clients to our network of services across London, especially if there are practical issues impacting their well-being. These services include English classes, housing or immigration advice, food banks, and community organisations where they can meet others from their home countries.

We also have our own psychosocial group where clients can meet in safe spaces.
