Our wonderful weekend at the Waterloo Festival 2024
We are thrilled to share the experience we had at the Waterloo Festival 2024! It was a wonderful weekend filled with fun and meaningful interactions as we set up our charity stall to connect with the local community and spread awareness about the vital services we offer.
Engaging with the Community
The Waterloo Festival provided a fantastic opportunity for us to meet and engage with local residents and participants at the festival. Our stall became a hub where people stopped by to learn more about our charity, Waterloo Community Counselling (WCC). We were able to have important conversations, sharing the work we do and the impact it has on those in need within our community.
Delicious Homemade Treats
One of the highlights of our stall was the array of delicious homemade cakes and beautifully crafted greeting cards and bookmarks. Our talented team had spent hours baking and creating, and their hard work paid off. The handmade cards, which used artworks made by the team, volunteers and the service users, were well received and visitors to our stall were delighted to purchase these unique items, knowing that every penny would go towards supporting our charity’s mission.
Raising Funds and Awareness
Thanks to the generosity of the festival-goers, we raised over £330 over the weekend! This remarkable amount will go a long way in helping us continue to provide essential services and support to those in our community who need it most.
The success of our fundraising efforts at the Waterloo Festival is a testament to the power of community spirit and the shared commitment to making a difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a vital role in enabling us to carry out our mission.
